José is an attorney with vast experience in Antitrust Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, as well as other subjects.

He has advised and represented national and international clients who operate in a variety of sectors. He is an expert in drafting commercial contracts and other legal documents, as well as in representing clients in administrative and judicial proceedings.

His main area of practice is Antitrust Law. He has been involved in a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters before the Antitrust Authority, as well as in preventive Antitrust compliance due diligence processes for some of the most renown companies in Ecuador, operating in a variety of markets, including: agricultural and agro-industrial market, automotive market, financial services market, mass consumer market and the energy and non-renewable resources market since 2011. He has also represented national and international clients in administrative proceedings before the Antitrust Authority, including merger control notifications, and alleged antitrust violations proceedings.

He has participated in important M&A transactions involving national and multinational companies, including: due diligence, drafting of Sale/Purchase agreements and other transactional documents, and negotiation of contractual terms.
