By Ministerial Agreement No. MDT-2025-083, signed on July 30, 2025 by the Minister of Labor, extends the deadline for private sector employers with a payroll of 50 or more workers to register their Equality Plans with the Ministry of Labor.
New deadline: December 31, 2025, through the Single Work System (SUT).
This change amends Ministerial Agreement No.MDT-2024-013 of January 19, 2024, which previously set the deadline until July 31, 2025.
What does this mean for your company?
1.- If your company has 50 or more employees, you must have an Equality Plan registered with the SUT before December 31, 2025.
Companies that have already registered physically and have the certificate issued by the Ministry of Labor will not have to register it again, unless they have to update it as established in Article 9 of Ministerial Agreement No. MDT-2024-013, in cases such as modifications in the organizational structure, variations in the number of workers or the existence of sanctions for situations of harassment or discrimination.
Once the new term has expired, the Ministry of Labor will initiate control and sanction processes in case of non-compliance.
What is an Equality Plan?
It is an internal management tool through which the company implements measures to prevent and eliminate gender discrimination, guarantee equal opportunities and promote an inclusive and equitable work environment.
